NCPA, Pharmacy Choice Build Online Employment Resource for Independent Pharmacies, Pharmacists

Alexandria, Virginia – Pharmacists seeking employment with independent community pharmacies now have access to a new online job board http://ncpa.rxcareercenter.com/.
The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) is collaborating with Pharmacy Choice, Inc. (http://www.pharmacychoice.com), which operates rxcareercenter.com (http://www.rxcareercenter.com), to develop an online job board for independent community pharmacies and pharmacists.
The NCPA Career Center will provide NCPA members with the ability to advertise open pharmacy positions, as well as browse through and apply to open job listings.
Job listings posted through NCPA portals will be highlighted in the listings, providing additional exposure for independent pharmacies.
The NCPA Career Center will be accessible at the Pharmacist e-Link™ (http://www.pharmacistelink.com) and the NCPA (http://www.ncpanet.org) websites.
Current job listings available at RxCareerCenter.com will also be posted on the NCPA Career Center.
Job candidates will have the option to create personal accounts to facilitate the submission of their resumes to an employment database.
Candidates will also have access to a web-based resume builder and comprehensive career management system.
Employers will be able to search submitted resumes and contact appropriate candidates, as well as post, edit, open, and close their job openings by logging into secure accounts.
The job board will also enable employers to track candidates who have applied to open positions.
In addition, the integrated Applicant Tracking System (ATS) provides employers with a means to enter and track candidate leads from newspaper ads, recruiting events, and career fairs; add screening and ranking questions to available jobs; and communicate directly with potential candidates.
The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) represents the nation's community pharmacists, including the owners of 24,000 pharmacies.
