med DISPENSE
cabinets have the highest capacity in the industry and the layout is logical and
easy to use. When dispensing narcotics, there are no more keys to track down or
papers to fill out. End-of-shift counts are virtually eliminated. And,
medDISPENSE
can be configured in any combination of patient-specific or medication-specific
drawers.
medDISPENSE
is particularly effective for controlling narcotics and floor stock. It is also
utilized effectively for dispensing PRNs, first doses, night supply and in some
cases replaces the medication cart for all routine medications. In each instance,
while nurses have access to the medications they need, pharmacists maintain
control of the medications for which they are responsible.
medDISPENSE
may be interfaced with the hospital's information system, or it may stand alone
(see Software for further information). Either way, all dispensing transactions
are tracked and stored with up to five years of data. Customized usage reports
are easily produced and reprinted at any time.
