The Diachrome Difference: Unique, Dual Effect – yet non-prescription... Diachrome®,
is non-prescription, nutrient-based support for your patients with type
2 diabetes. Diachrome, when added to your patients’ current type 2
diabetes medication regimen, offers a unique, dual effect: improved
glucose metabolism and improved lipid metabolism.
Clinical trials tested Diachrome as an adjunctive nutritional agent to oral
prescription anti-diabetes medications and it was found that Diachrome
delivered a significant added benefit – especially for those patients
with high baseline A1c, fasting plasma glucose and lipid levels.
In
a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study of 447
patients with type 2 diabetes, Diachrome was given in addition to oral,
anti-diabetic prescriptions. The results showed that the addition of
Diachrome promoted healthy blood sugar and lipid metabolism after only
90 day of intervention. See clinical studies for full study abstract.
Nutrient-Based Support – How It Works. Diachrome
is comprised of two key nutrients that are used by the body for proper
insulin function and important to healthy pancreatic and liver
function: chromium picolinate and biotin.
Diachrome’s patented
combination of these two ingredients potentiates the uptake of glucose
in the muscle cells, increases glycogen production, stimulates the
activity of glucokinase in the liver and improves pancreatic cell
function to enhance insulin regulation.* This patented combination
increases uptake and synthesis by more than 60%. In turn, both glucose
and lipid metabolism are improved.
The August 2006 issue of Diabetes Care published an article entitled Chromium
Picolinate Supplementation Attenuates Body Weight Gain and Increases
Insulin Sensitivity in Subjects with Type 2 Diabetes.1 This
peer-reviewed article discussed the positive clinical results of adding
chromium picolinate to the regimen of patients with type 2 diabetes who
are taking sulfonylureas. This study, conducted by researchers at
Pennington Biomedical Research Center, supports previous findings that
chromium picolinate, when given in therapeutic doses such as those
contained in Diachrome, has a positive effect on insulin function,
blood glucose and cholesterol metabolism. For additional information or

Safe to use with multiple prescription medications... The
active ingredients in Diachrome are deemed safe by the United States
Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Having an excellent safety profile,
Diachrome has no known significant drug interactions or side effects
and can be used in combination with multiple prescription diabetes,
lipid and hypertension medications. Diachrome is manufactured to meet
or exceed pharmaceutical standards.
Convenient and Affordable Dosing. Simple,
once-daily dosing makes Diachrome easy for patients to use and for
healthcare professionals to recommend. Adding Diachrome to your
patients’ standard of care costs less than 42¢ a day. With its
convenient dosing and its dual effect on blood glucose and blood
lipids, Diachrome is a cost-effective addition to your patients’
current diabetes regimens.
